Toronto Space Apps Challenge 2018 Hackathon

On the weekend of October 19th - 21st 2018, developers, makers, engineers and entrepreneurs will take on NASA-designed challenges, creating solutions that range from silly to serious, fantastical to feasible. Build a team, pick a challenge, and leverage your access to an extraordinary roster of mentors featuring past and present astronauts, aerospace engineers, and designers.

Kortright Centre: Midnight Astronomy (SOLD OUT)

Receive a detailed introduction to the basics of Astronomy through an indoor presentation. Learn your way around the night sky in an amazing portable planetarium. We'll venture out into the darkness for naked-eye viewing of constellations, more detailed observations with binoculars (provided) and viewing planets and deep-sky objects through telescopes of amateur astronomers. RASC Mississauga: Explore the Night Sky Astronomy Course

Earthshine Astronomy and Space Science Organization and The Riverwood Conservancy (TRC) present this four night course open to budding astronomers ages 12 and up. The course is taught by members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada – Mississauga Centre. If the sky is clear, there will be observing for 30 minutes after the end of the session.
