If you have joined RASC Toronto Centre in the years of 2016 and 2017 and have yet to attend an orientation get-together, we would like to formally welcome you to the society and to provide information about the activities and opportunities within the Club. We shall help you get started with observing, learning, sharing and enjoying astronomy! Above all, let’s get to know each other. Let us answer questions and address curiosities about the club and discuss anything related to our hobby!

Hamilton Amateur Astronomers: Public Scope Clinic & Open House Event

Come join the Hamilton Amateur Astronomers this November 19th between 1 and 4pm for their Telescope Clinic and Open House! At this event you’ll find knowledgable amateur astronomers with their telescopes and gear on display and available to answer questions. This is a great opportunity if you’re thinking about getting into astronomy! Learn where to get started, the type of gear you should buy and, more importantly, avoid. Already an amateur astronomer?

RASC Mississauga: Explore the Night Sky Astronomy Course

If you have a budding young astronomer or are one yourself then this is the course for you. Offered by the Earthshine Astronomy and Space Science Organization and The Riverwood Conservancy, this four-week course is open to ages 12 and up. The course is taught by members of the Mississauga Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. On clear evenings, observing with telescopes will take place from 8:30-9:30pm, extending the course time by 30 minutes.

Hamilton Amateur Astronomers: Public Scope Clinic & Open House

This April 23rd the Hamilton Amateur Astronomers will be holding their public scope clinic and open house. Telescopes of all types will be set up, amateur astronomers will be available to answer questions, talk about equipment, observing and anything astronomy-related. The scope clinic is a great way to get introduced to astronomy, where to start, and learn about the hobby. Bring your family and friends!
