Join us, from the comfort of your home! This program provides an illustrated one-hour presentation and discussion about what exciting celestial events to look for each season. The events and phenomena will be explained using simple language, with recommendations about how best to observe and photograph them.

DDO: Ask an Astronomer (ONLINE)

Explore the Universe - from the comfort of your home! During these family-friendly sessions, a DDO Astronomer will answer your questions about the observatory, astronomy and space, telescopes, and the motions of the sky using powerful astronomy software and eye-catching visuals! Only one registration per household is required. Deadline to register for this program is Wednesday June 8, 2022 at 3:00pm. Prior to the start of the program you will be emailed information on the virtual program links and any specific information relating to your program.

Millennium Square Public Stargazing Series (GO for Saturday)

Join us and our sponsor, Durham Skies, for an evening of free public stargazing along the north shore of Lake Ontario at Millennium Square. Observe the Moon and stars through our telescopes! Check out astronomy literature at our information booth, and ask us questions to learn more about the stars and planets. You can bring your own telescope and we'd be happy to help you set it up and aim it at the Moon.

UofT AstroTour: Twists and Turns while Searching for Strange Stars

Join us for our first in person AstroTours in two years! The event will feature a talk by Anna O'Grady about searching for strange stars! After the talk we will have a variety of demos and the opportunity to use telescopes on the roof of the McLennan Physical Laboratories. Our event will also highlight LGBTQ2S+ astronomers to honour pride month! Also, make sure to check out our merchandise shop on RedBubble! It features our regular, Earth Hour, and pride logos!
