This year NASA issued Not Yet Imagined, written by the history journalist and astronomer Chris Gainor, covering the first three decades of Hubble Space Telescope Operations.
Hosted by the RASC History Committee, in this Speaker Series talk — “Son of Hubble: Confessions of a Hubble Space Telescope Historian” — Gainor will tell the story of this book, and along the way, talk about Hubble itself, which is much more than a telescope that happens to be located in space.

RASC National Society: The Insider's Guide to the Galaxy - Safely Viewing the Sun (ONLINE)
Join us online to learn basic astronomy that you can do on your own from your backyard!
We'll be hosting introductory astronomy courses every other Tuesday at 3:30pm EDT. They'll give you the tools to learn astronomy on your own at home, along with some observing goals to try. All you need is your computer! A pair of binoculars will help, but are not necessary.

Planetarium Live! is an interactive journey through the cosmos! Every episode we learn some new concepts in Astronomy while encouraging questions and audience participation.
This Episode will feature some of what's happening in space right now, as well as a look at the inner planets of our solar system! As always, questions are encouraged!

RASC, Mississauga Centre: ROM Martian Meteorites and Mars Sample Return (ONLINE)
Speaker: Dr. Kim Tait, Royal Ontario Museum
Although the ROM does have an exceptional martian meteorite collection, there is still much to be learned about Mars. Dr. Kim Tait will discuss the goals of the Mars Sample Return Program, and her role in the mission.
Kimberly Tait is a Curator of Mineralogy and oversees mineralogical, gemmological and meteoritic research at the ROM. She is also a cross-appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology at the University of Toronto.

RASC/SkyNews: Apollo 13 - The Flight That Failed (ONLINE)
Fifty years ago, the third mission was launched to land two people on the Moon. On the third day of the flight, a problem occurred which cancelled the plans for the lunar landing and instead, started a race to get the astronauts home alive. In this talk, Mississauga Centre RASC president Randy Attwood will detail all the things which had to go right to save the Apollo 13 crew.
SkyNews and The RASC are also happy to welcome a special guest lined up to answer questions after the talk — Apollo 13 lunar module pilot Fred Haise. You don’t want to miss this!
