Their new show promises to be an outrageous evening of entertainment featuring brand new on-stage experiments, behind-the-scenes stories and some of your all-time favourites. Y Lab: Old Tech Meets New Tech at the DDO
The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Toronto Centre is hosting a special behind-the-scenes tour of Canada's largest optical telescope for Y Lab makers.
Old technology meets new as RASC volunteers show us mechanical clock-like workings of the 80-year old telescope, followed by demonstrations of some of their members' own telescopes and digital star tracking gizmos.
Weather permitting, we'll also get to do some stargazing.
Come out for this unique opportunity to visit one of the best sites of the entire GTA.

Beaches Library: The Time Machine: Starting Your Personal Adventure in Astronomy
This presentation shows how you can begin a personal exploration of the sky using a variety of affordable instruments. Marc Teitelbaum of the Toronto Centre of the RASC will demonstrate how technological advances have now made it possible for the ordinary person to truly look back in cosmic time with the aid of instruments and gadgets that are readily available. He will also share tips on where to find like-minded people who will be supportive and help you succeed in your new quest.
