DDO: Ask an Astronomer (ONLINE)

Explore the Universe - from the comfort of your home! During these family-friendly sessions, a DDO Astronomer will answer your questions about the observatory, astronomy and space, telescopes, and the motions of the sky using powerful astronomy software and eye-catching visuals! Only one registration per household is required. Deadline to register for this program is Wednesday May 11, 2022 at 3:00pm. Prior to the start of the program you will be emailed information on the virtual program links and any specific information relating to your program.

Millennium Square Public Stargazing Series (GO for Saturday)

Join us and our sponsor, Durham Skies, for an evening of free public stargazing along the north shore of Lake Ontario at Millennium Square. Observe the Moon, stars, and a rare chance to see Mercury (before 8:30pm) through our telescopes! Check out astronomy literature at our information booth, and ask us questions to learn more about the stars and planets. You can bring your own telescope and we'd be happy to help you set it up and aim it at the Moon.
