This summer, the University of Toronto and the Dunlap Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics are holding a workshop for grade 11 and 12 students in the GTA which aims to provide a hands-on introduction to coding, lectures on cutting-edge astrophysics, and answers to your questions about university.

We are piloting a new City Star Party at Long Branch Park to catch universe from within the city limits. If you don't have a telescope then you will find many astronomers who would love to share a view.

Summer is time for fun in the sun, but what do you really know about our nearest star?

Visitors aged 6 and older will enter a Digital Portable Planetarium and take a journey through the universe led by a DDO astronomer.

Join us for an evening of free public stargazing along the north shore of Lake Ontario at Millennium Square. Observe the Moon and stars through our telescopes! (We might even catch Saturn if it rises high enough before midnight.)

Safely observe the sun with us! During these family-friendly sessions, a DDO Astronomer will answer your questions about our closest star: the sun!

Enjoy safe views of the Sun every first Saturday of the month at the Ontario Science Centre!

Join us for the wonders of astronomy through a presentation on a variety of exciting astronomy topics, followed by an age-appropriate celestial activities and a demonstration of the 74” telescope.
