RASC Mississauga: Transit of Mercury at the Riverwood Conservancy
Come out and observe a rare event - a transit of Mercury.
Join members of the Mississauga Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada as they set up telescopes equipped with special filters to provide a safe view of the transit. The transit takes approximately 7.5 hours for the planet Mercury to cross the Sun. It will begin just after 7:15am EDT and will end at 2:40pm EDT. Maximum transit will occur just before 11am EDT.

York University: Mercury Transit
Join the York University Astronomical Observatory and the Astronomy Club at York University for the transit of Mercury!
Observatory telescopes will be in place at the Lion Stadium to guide spectators through the event! Transit starts at 7:10am and will end at 2:44pm. We will be hosting this event from 9:00am - 2:00pm. There will be solar glasses for everyone! See you there!

Hamilton Amateur Astronomers: Public Stargazing Night
Join the Hamilton Amateur Astronomers at T.B. McQuesten Park this April 16th for a public stargazing night. Telescopes will be set up and club members will be available to answer astro-questions. Public stargazing nights are a great way to look at the universe in a friendly environment; bring yourself, your family and friends!

RASC Mississauga: Astronomy Evening at Riverwood
Come out and observe the universe at the Riverwood Conservancy! Join members of the Mississauga Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada as they set up large telescopes to look at the Moon, planets and stars. Observing will take place on the green in front of Chappell House. The event starts at dusk is free and open to everyone.
Large telescopes will be set up and pointed at the Moon and the planets Mars and Saturn as well as other objects beyond our solar system.
