Abstract: It seems that almost every day there is a new discovery being made in space. These advances are made possible by the space missions, telescopes and other experiments that result from friendly cooperation and competition between the world’s space agencies and scientists. What is Canada’s contribution to this international ecosystem? This talk aims to clarify Canada’s place in space science and will describe some of the most exciting recent and upcoming projects. It will also provoke a discussion on the best ways that governments, scientists and space enthusiasts can work together to raise the profile of space science in Canada while ensuring that everyone can participate in the adventure.
