Recreational Astronomy Night - September 4, 2024 [Online Only]

Due to last minute changes, the RAN will only be hosted and streamed online this month. We will not be meeting in person. 

Join us for our monthly recreational astronomy night meeting. This is where our members get to show their latest projects or give tutorials and tips on just about everything to do with astronomy.

Wednesday, September 4, 2024 - 7:30pm to 9:30pm
This meeting will be on-line only. The speakers and presentations are as follows:

• Claudio Oriani - The Sky This Month
• Charles Yung - DIY: Power for your equipment at a dark sky site
• Clay Davies - How Could a "Planet Killer" Help Save the Earth? A cosmic perspective - a first look at Saturn, and "lunar orbit" with feet on the ground.

After our monthly recreational astronomy night meeting, York University also hosts public weekly stargazing in the Arboretum! Get more information at York University Observatory and tickets here today.
