Video: Eye safety and selecting solar filters

Dr. Ralph Chou gave a talk about eye safety and solar filters for the Recreational Astronomy Night on April 26, 2017. Dr. Chou, who is Professor Emeritus at the School of Optometry & Vision Science, University of Waterloo, covered eye protection devices and recommended standards for these devices for the upcoming solar eclipse on August 21, 2017. He is involved with the development of international standards for eye safety devices.
