2013 Annual Algonquin Adventure

Join us for a long weekend star party under the famous pristine dark skies of Algonquin. It’s a great way to make new friends, talk astronomy, and enjoy the camaraderie of others around the communal campfires. Algonquin Park also offers lots of daytime activities like hiking, museums, art galleries, swimming, canoeing, and bird watching. This years’ Annual Algonquin Adventure takes place from Thursday September 5th through Sunday 8th.

Mew Lake location
The star party is held at the Mew Lake Campground within the Algonquin Park. The campground is fully equipped with clean restrooms, free showers and a sandy beach on a small, calm lake.

Mew Lake offers campsites with electricity, without electricity and Yurts. A Yurt is a semi-permanent structure which sleeps 6 and is perfect for those who do not enjoy the tenting experience.  All you need to bring is food, clothing, and bedding. There are only 7 yurts at Mew Lake, so reserve early to avoid disappointment.

Reservations
Mew Lake reservations can be made anytime from April 5th, 2012. Making your reservation is easy. Just call the Ontario Parks Reservation line at 1-888-668-7275 or visit their website at www.ontarioparks.ca.

Once you have made your reservation, please e-mail Robert & Lillian at bobandlil14@gmail.com to advise them of your site # and the names of those sharing your site.
