DDO Lunar Eclipse (SOLD OUT)

Join us to view the Lunar Eclipse on Sunday evening Sept 27, 2015  WEATHER PERMITTING

Please check our website www.theDDO.ca after 6pm on Sept 27 to check if the weather and sky conditions permit viewing of the eclipse. This event will be cancelled if weather conditions are poor.

If the weather permits stargazing, we kindly ask to collect a donation (cash only) at the door of $2 per person.

Gate opens at 8:30pm.

Eclipses of the moon are safe to view. No telescope required and best to view with your eyes or binoculars. NOTE that the 1.9meter telescope will not be open this evening.

Due to the size of this event, parking will be outside the grounds and will require a short walk. You are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, cameras, binoculars to set up on the lawn.

NO Alcoholic Beverages are allowed on the private grounds. This will be strictly enforced.

DDO Management reserves the right to restrict access to anyone whose behaviour jeopardizes the safety and security of the facility and/or the enjoyment of the facility and programs by other visitors or staff.  We welcome everyone who is supportive of our work as stewards of the facility.
