Dave Chapman, supported by Peter Jedicke, gives us an overview as to how minor planets (asteroids) are named and how the naming procedure can also be used to honour people or places on Earth. Dave is a member of the RASC - Halifax Centre and Peter is a member of the RASC - London Centre. They gave their presentation to the online edition of the Recreational Astronomy Night meeting, which was held on April 6, 2022.
