Notice of Annual Meeting

This message is the Notice of Annual Meeting of The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Toronto Centre, which is to be held on Wednesday, 2 December 2026.

The Annual Meeting will immediately follow the Recreational Astronomy Night presentations. As per usual, the RAN will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel for all members and the public to view. After the live-stream concludes, the Annual Meeting will commence.

The Annual Meeting will be conducted online with Zoom for interactions and voting (see below for details).

RASC Toronto Centre is a not-for-profit Ontario corporation and a registered charity. The Annual Meeting is the opportunity for you to learn about what has been achieved by the Toronto Centre in fiscal year 2025-2026 and its finances.

Elections

Under the Ontario's Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, it is no longer acceptable for a full slate of electors to be simply acclaimed as in the past, an election must be held.
As a result, the election of the RASC Toronto Centre Board of Directors will be held after the end of the nominations period. The election will be performed online, and the polls will be open until a couple of days before the AM.
