Y Lab: Old Tech Meets New Tech at the DDO
The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Toronto Centre is hosting a special behind-the-scenes tour of Canada's largest optical telescope for Y Lab makers.
Old technology meets new as RASC volunteers show us mechanical clock-like workings of the 80-year old telescope, followed by demonstrations of some of their members' own telescopes and digital star tracking gizmos.
Weather permitting, we'll also get to do some stargazing.
Come out for this unique opportunity to visit one of the best sites of the entire GTA.
Big thanks to the http://theddo.ca and http://www.rascto.ca/ volunteers for hosting this event.
Please note: 18 year+ event. This event is focused on member and potential members for the Y Lab maker group. We love kids (many of us have our own), but this event is not intended for them. Check out http://theddo.ca for kid and family events.
