UofT Planetarium: The Life and Death of Stars

Cat's Eye Nebula (NGC 6543) Credit: NASA, ESA, HEIC, and The Hubble Heritage Team (STScI/AURA)

Showtimes: 7:00pm, 8:00pm, and 9:00pm

The stars in the night sky seem unchanging and eternal, and have remained the same for the history of human civilization. However, over millions and billions of years, new stars are born, live out their long lives, and eventually die in a blaze of glory. In this show, we will be exploring the lives of stars by visiting stellar nurseries, supernova remnants and much more!

Please arrive 15 minutes before your show. To ensure the best experience for guests during shows, the doors to the planetarium will be closed and locked to outside entry for the duration of each show. If you arrive after the scheduled start time of your show, you will not be able to enter the planetarium and your ticket will not be refunded or transferred to another show. For the first show on each evening, the doors will open 15 minutes prior to the show. For subsequent shows, doors will open 5 minutes prior to the show.
