Tafelmusik/TSO Movie Night: 2001 A Space Odyssey

Tafelmusik's Tafelscene and TSO's TSOUNDCHECK join forces for the third annual 35 & Under movie night, presenting 2001: A Space Odyssey.

2001: A Space Odyssey is Stanley Kubrick’s iconic adaptation of a short story by sci-fi author Arthur Clarke. Kubrick presents a gripping psychedelic commentary on the rise of artificial intelligence and its influence on the process of human evolution. His expert rendering of special effects and treatment of music as dialogue shaped one of the most iconic films in the history of cinema.

This special event includes:
• the screening of the film
• a pre-screening chat with members from both orchestras
• a free drink
• a cocktail reception to follow the movie

Doors open at 6:30pm

Note: This event does not include a performance by Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra or the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
