Speaker's Night: Jellyfish I Have Known: The Aquatic and the Nebulous
Speaker: Jenna Hinds, Youth Outreach Coordinator at The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada
Jenna started out her career underwater and somehow ended up with her eyes on the skies instead. She shares the story of her beginnings in the aquatic world, her delayed entry into astronomy with the RASC, Toronto Centre and where this brand new astronomer has ended up. From observing the stars as the Inca did in Peru, to Jordan to see her first ever planetary transit, to shouting at strangers on the street to look at the Orion Nebula, astronomy has been a magnificent lens through which to view and share the world.
Talk starts at 7:30pm, socializing at 7:00pm.
