This is the second of a two-part series exploring Canada and the Final Frontier. The first looked at Canada's history in spaceflight.

Faizan Ramatullah: Engineer in the Guidance, Navigation and Control department at MacDonald, Dettwiler, and Associates (MDA) in Brampton, Ontario. He has over 10 years of experience in the research and development of autonomous systems. Faizan is leading the Lunar Surface Mobility Program at MDA, developing rovers for the Canadian Space Agency to support manned and unmanned exploration missions to the Moon. He is also developing the Mobility System for the Mars Sample Fetch rover for the European Space Agency. The Sample Fetch Rover is part of the Mars Sample Return mission where space agencies from around the world are collaborating to execute the first mission to return Martian samples back to the Earth.

Dr. Chris Gainor: Historian of technology and writer specializing in space exploration and aeronautics. He is the author of four books on space exploration and aeronautics, and his articles have appeared in various specialty publications and Canadian newspapers. He holds a PhD in the history of technology from the University of Alberta, and has taught history at the University of Victoria and at CFB Esquimalt for the Royal Military College of Canada. He is currently writing a history of the Hubble Space Telescope for NASA. Chris is International Space Programs Editor for Quest: The History of Spaceflight Quarterly. Immediate Past President of the RASC & Fellow of the British Interplanetary Society.

Moderator, Randy Attwood, has been following Canadian and international space activities since 1968. He is a Past President of The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and a recent Executive Director of the same society. He has witnessed 12 Space Shuttle launches - including the 2nd and the 135th.
