RASC, Mississauga Centre: Astronomy Night at the Riverwood Conservancy (GO for Wednesday)
Explore the universe with members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. Telescopes will be set up to provide stellar views of the Moon, the planets and more. Astronomy Nights fill up fast, be sure to register to save your place for space!
No dogs permitted. Please dress for the weather. If weather conditions are not ideal for star gazing, we will cancel the event at 12:00pm that day, and postpone the event to the next day (Wednesday, August 10). Please watch your email (including spam/junk mail folder) for updates in this circumstance.
Road access to Chappell Lawn will be closed. Please park in the main parking lot and walk over. You will be asked your name at the barrier in order to enter the event. Please bring a mask, which we kindly ask you wear when looking through a telescope. No flashlights or flash photography past the barrier.
Accessible. Program will be on Chappell Lawn. Accessible parking available, please notify staff at the barrier on Riverwood Park Lane.
Cancellations and Refunds
Refunds may only be processed if a registration is cancelled five or more business days before event day. Advanced cancellations are subject to administrative fees. No refunds will be given for no-shows or for program fees totaling $10 or less due to processing fees. If the program is cancelled due to poor weather conditions on both the original and backup date, you will get the option to; postpone your tickets until the next month’s Astronomy Night which you will get priority, donate your fees to our organizations to support future low-cost programs, or request a refund. If you can no longer attend, please consider cancelling in advance to allow others to join by contacting Community Programs Coordinator, Stephanie Keeler.
