Public Star Talk Night

Star talk nights offer great talks by great speakers on astronomy, space science and sometimes, science fiction. You'll also have a chance to tour the Observatory and (weather permitting) check out the night sky through a variety of telescopes set up on the lawn and through the big scope in the Main Dome.  If the weather gods are angry, you can check out the (virtual) night sky in our new Skylab. Star talk nights run regardless of weather conditions.

Who can attend: everyone including non-members
Fee: Adult: $10, Senior: $5, Youth (age 11-17): $5
Tickets must be bought in advance on the David Dunlap Observatory (DDO) website
Tickets for speaker nights are non-refundable since the program runs regardless of sky or weather conditions. If it's cloudy, hang onto your tickets for free viewing on a future evening.

Please do not bring young children to our Star Talk nights. While our guest lecturers gear their talks for the general public, young children are likely to find it a very long night. Kids will find Observing Nights and Family Nights a much better experience.  For safety reasons, children under 7 years of age are not permitted in the Main Dome.
