Carr Astronomical Observatory Fall Work Party 2015

Shorter days. Longer nights. Astronomers get giddy.

It also signals the E.C. Carr Astronomical Observatory (CAO) Fall Work Party on Blue Mountain is just around the corner. Please join us on October 17-18, 2015  (this is the weekend following Thanksgiving) as we prepare the facility for the winter season. There will be jobs for all skill levels both indoors and outdoors.

All meals and drinks are provided to volunteers from Saturday breakfast to Sunday lunch.

The work party starts on Saturday morning and ends at mid-day on Sunday but feel free to arrive on Friday evening. All CAO user fees are waived for volunteers on this weekend.

and submit a CAO Bookings form (National ID and password are required to access this part of the website). On the comments section of this form, state “work party volunteer”. Registration is required by all volunteers in order for us to plan out food supplies and sleeping arrangements.
