Awards Picnic 2014

The Annual Awards Picnic.

Who can attend: members and their family
Fee: free
Reservation required
Location: David Dunlap Observatory (DDO)

Once again it is time to honour those members within the RASC-TC who have made significant contributions in the past year.   All RASC-TC members and their family are invited to the Awards Picnic.  Family activities include walking tours of the historical buildings and grounds (find out where TV shows and movies were shot), arts and crafts, games, henna, solar and evening observing (weather permitting).  This will be a rain or shine event.

Beverages and snacks will be provided.  Please bring something to put on the BBQ and a salad or dessert to share on the communal table.  We also recommend a lawn chair, sunscreen, bug spray, warm clothing for the evening and a regular white flashlight to find your way back to your vehicle.  If there are any plates/containers/utensils you need back after the picnic, please label them with your name.

Location: David Dunlap Observatory (DDO), Richmond Hill

Start Time: 2:00 p.m.

End TIme: 10:00 p.m.

Parking: Free but limited on-site so car pooling is encouraged.  Additional parking at church parking lot.

Regrettably, alcohol and pets are not permitted.  There is no wheelchair access to the observatory or washrooms.  Access to the telescope and washrooms requires the use of stairs.

If you would like to attend, please RVSP with the number of adults and children attending to Lora Chow at: lora.chow@sympatico.ca  This will allow us to plan for beverage and snack purchases.
