Enjoy a magical moment under Luke Jerram’s ethereal Moon sculpture! The exhibition, The Moon: A Voyage Through Time has closed, but this five-metre wide replica of the moon has been extended until September 15.

As we bid farewell to this popular artwork, we invite you to join us for FREE performances and interactive activities under the moon every Wednesday from 4:00–8:00pm until September 11.

SONIC ORBITER BY SYSTEM SOUNDS

Make your own music by ‘playing’ the craters of the moon in a project called Sonic Obiter. Creator Matt Russo, of System Sounds, will give a talk revealing how his team translated the rhythm and harmony of the cosmos into music and sound.

SOUNDS OF APOLLO 11 WITH BEN FEIST & SLOWPITCHSOUND

Hear artist SlowPitchSound remix moon-inspired songs with NASA recordings from the Apollo 11 mission, giving new dimension to Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” and Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon.” After the set, NASA software engineer Ben Feist will give you an insider’s look into NASA’s ongoing study of the moon, sharing the plans for when humans return to the moon in 2024.

See the moon through the light of literature! Enjoy a poetry reading by award-winning poet Laboni Islam, and hear magical moon stories from all over the world, told by storyteller Sarah Abusarar.

SUFI POETRY WITH SHENIZ JANMOHAMED AND ZOHREH SHAHBAZY

Author and poet Sheniz Janmohamed and seasoned percussionist Zohreh Shahbazy bid farewell to the moon with words, lyrics, and music inspired by Sufi poetry.
