Join us for AstroTours! The event will feature a talk by Hannah Dykaar about when black holes destroy stars! After the talk we will have a variety of demos and the opportunity to use telescopes on the roof of the McLennan Physical Laboratories.

Join us and our sponsor, Durham Skies, for an evening of free public stargazing along the north shore of Lake Ontario at Millennium Square. Observe the Moon, stars and Saturn at its best through our telescopes! Check out astronomy literature at our information booth, and ask us questions to learn more about the stars and planets. You can bring your own telescope and we'd be happy to help you set it up and aim it at the Moon.

During these family-friendly sessions, a DDO Astronomer will answer your questions about the observatory, astronomy and space, telescopes, and the motions of the sky using powerful astronomy software and eye-catching visuals!
