We are delighted that Professor Ramani Ramakrishnan, former chief acoustician of NASA's largest and loudest reverberation test chamber will speak at 7:30pm.
His talk will explore the design details of NASA's Largest and Loudest reverberation test chamber, as well as the professor's journey through academia in areas such as architectural acoustics, building acoustics, aero-acoustics, and noise & vibration control.
Ramani Ramakrishnan has been teaching at Toronto Metropolitan University since 1984 and joined the faculty full time in 2000. Ramani has taught acoustics, light and building science courses. Ramani has considerable expertise in the field of acoustics and noise control, published extensively, was the editor-in-chief of Canadian Acoustics Journal, served in a number of standard committees and won the Dean’s Teaching Award in 2002. Most notably, Ramani was the chief acoustician of the team that designed the largest and the loudest reverberation test chamber for NASA’s Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, USA.
