RASC, Mississauga Centre: Astronomy Course: Explore the Night Sky
Join the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada for this four-night course, where you will be introduced to observing the night sky. After the course, you will be able to identify the brighter stars and constellations and have a basic understanding of the motion of the night sky. You'll have a chance to use binoculars and telescopes to observe the Moon, the Sun, planets, and whatever else you might find the the deep skies.

September 8 | Introduction to the Night Sky
September 15 | Observing the Sun, Moon, and Planets
September 22 | Choosing and using binoculars and telescopes
September 29 | Observing deep sky objects and taking photos of the night sky
Important Information
This program will run indoors and outdoors. Please dress for the weather. No dogs permitted.
Difficulty Rating
Easy. This program will run in an indoor space, and outdoors on the Chappell Lawn.
Cancellations and Refunds
Refunds may only be processed if a registration is cancelled five or more business days before event day. Advanced cancellations are subject to administrative fees. No refunds will be given for no-shows. For programs where the fee is $19.99 or less, no refunds will be issued due to processing fees. If the program is cancelled due to weather, illness, or minimum participants not registered, we will attempt to reschedule, or a full refund will be issued based on the circumstances of the cancellation.
