Don Mills Library: Astronomy at the South Pole

In a quest for ever-clearer views of the sky astronomers put telescopes in remote places, even in the middle of Antarctica. Professor Keith Vanderlinde of the Dunlap Institute talks about his work with the 10m South Pole Telescope and why he undertook an 11-month 'winter over' in Antarctica.
