Call for Nominations and Proposed Council Slate for 2015-2016

As noted in the recent SCOPE newsletter and on this website, after our lecture meeting on Wednesday, November 25th we will convene our Annual General Meeting. At that meeting, the following positions on the Toronto Centre Council will be replaced for our fiscal year 2015-2016 Council:

Secretary and three Councillors. 

The Nominations Committee (Ralph Chou, Tony Horvatin and Paul Mortfield) is pleased to propose the following slate of candidates for the RASC Toronto Centre Council for 2015-2016:

 

Executive

Honorary President (1-year term) Dr. Roberto Abraham

President (2nd of 2-year term) Paul Mortfield

1st Vice-President (2nd of 2 year term) Steve McKinney

2nd Vice-President (1st of 2 year term) Paul Delaney

Treasurer (3rd of 3-year term) Scott Masterton

Secretary (1st of 3-year term) Tom Luton

Recorder (2nd of 3-year term) Rajesh Shukla

 

1st Past President (2nd of 2-year term) Dr. B. Ralph Chou

2nd Past President (2nd of 2-year term) Tony Horvatin

 

Councillors

Retiring 2016 Michelle Johns, Blake Nancarrow, Ian Wheelband

Retiring 2017 Catherine Carr, Gilles Gaudet, Laila Zichmanis

Retiring 2018 Eric Briggs, Michael Crabtree, Stuart McNair

 

We want to extend thanks to Dietmar Kupke, who is stepping down from his council position after completing 12 years' volunteer service in that position. 

 

Members in good standing are also invited to submit nominations for these positions. All such nominations must be signed by two members in good standing and include a note by the nominee agreeing to stand for the office. All nominations must be received in writing by Eric Briggs, Secretary ( secretary@rascto.ca ) or Ralph Chou, Nominations Committee Chair ( membership@rascto.ca ) on or before 2015 November 11.
